How to use Solifenacin Succinate 5 mg Tablets

  • Solifenacin is used to treat overactive bladder. By relaxing the muscles in your bladder, solifenacin improves your ability to control urination. It helps reduce urine leakage, the urge to urinate immediately, and frequent trips to the bathroom.

Medical uses of Vesicare 5 mg

  • These medications are used to reduce bladder activity or overactivity.
  • This allows you to wait longer before having to go to the bathroom and increases the amount of urine your bladder can hold.

How to use Visicare 5 mg

  • Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
  • Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
  • The recommended dose is 5 mg per day, unless your doctor tells you to take 10 mg per day.
  • Doses may be changed under special circumstances, so always follow your doctor or pharmacist's instructions.
  • If you take more medicine than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital immediately.
  • If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for your next dose.
  • Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for a missed dose.

Side effects of Vesicare 5 mg

  • Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially of: difficulty urinating (urinary retention), other bladder problems (such as obstruction), stomach/intestinal blockage (gastric retention), personal or family history of glaucoma (angle-closure type), liver disease, bowel disease (such as ulcerative colitis), slowed stomach/intestinal movement, constipation, kidney disease, enlarged prostate, a certain muscle/nerve disease (myasthenia gravis).

How to store Vesicare 5 mg

  • Store below 25°C.
  • Do not refrigerate the medicine.
  • Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
  • Must be stored in the original container to protect from moisture.
  • Do not use this medicine after the expiry date printed on the carton/blister/label. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
