Medical uses of Triolite Cream

  • Melasma is a skin condition that can be treated by applying Triolet cream to your face.
  • Melasma is characterized by dark (hyperpigmented) patches of skin on the face, especially on the cheeks and forehead.
  • Hormonal changes are usually responsible for this condition.
  • For short-term treatment (up to 8 weeks) of moderate to severe facial melasma, use Triolet Cream.
  • Not for continuous or long-term (more than 8 weeks) treatment of melasma.
  • Medication may not be necessary to treat milder forms of melasma.
  • Melasma can also be controlled by avoiding the sun and reducing the use of hormonal contraceptives.

How to use Triolite Cream

  • Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
  • Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
  • Gently wash your face with a mild cleanser. Don't use a washcloth to apply the cleanser, just your fingers. Rinse your face by patting your skin dry.
  • Apply Triolite cream at night, at least 30 minutes before bedtime.
  • Always use the prescribed dose as directed by your doctor.
  • If you think the effect of the medicine is too weak or too strong, please consult your doctor or pharmacist.
  • Doses may be changed under special circumstances, so always follow your doctor or pharmacist's instructions.
  • If you take more medicine than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital immediately.
  • If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for your next dose.
  • Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for a missed dose.

Side effects of Triolite Cream

  • Although the following side effects are not common to everyone, some patients may experience:

  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
  • Your doctor will discuss the potential risks and benefits of using this medication during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Helpful tips to prevent dry skin

  • Gently wash your face at least twice a day. Use a gentle cleanser like Bio-Cleanser or CeraVe Cleanser.
  • Apply moisturizer several times a day, especially when your skin feels dry and after washing your hands or showering, while your skin is still damp.
  • Drink plenty of water

Warnings and precautions when using Triolite Cream

  • Before using this medicine, talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you:
  1. Are you suffering from any other diseases?
  2. You have an allergy
  3. You are putting any other medicines on your skin (including medicines you buy yourself).
  • Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken, or might take any other medicines, including non-prescription medicines, prescription medicines, herbal supplements, vitamins, and nutritional supplements.

How to store Triolite cream

  • Store below 25°C.
  • Do not refrigerate the medicine.
  • Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
  • Must be stored in the original container to protect from moisture.
  • Do not use this medicine after the expiry date printed on the carton/blister/label. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
