How to use Fosamax 70 mg tablets

• Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
• Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• Doses may vary from patient to patient based on your age, medical condition, and whether or not you are taking other medications.
• The recommended dosage is one tablet once a week.
• Instructions while taking alendronic acid:

1. Do not take it with mineral water.
2. Do not take it with tea or coffee.
3. Do not take with juice or milk.
4. Do not crush, chew, or allow the tablets to dissolve in your mouth.
5. Do not lie down immediately after taking the tablet.
6. Do not take alendronic acid tablets at bedtime or before getting up today.
7. After swallowing the tablet, wait at least 30 minutes before taking your first food, drink, or other medication.

• Doses may be changed under special circumstances, so always follow your doctor or pharmacist's instructions.
• If you take more medicine than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital immediately.
• If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for your next dose.
