How to make fluorometholone sodium cromoglicate eye drops

  • Cromoglicate inhibits mast cell degranulation, thereby preventing histamine release. Cromoglicate may also reduce the release of inflammatory leukotrienes. Cromoglicate may work by inhibiting calcium influx.
  • Fluorometholone is a corticosteroid used to relieve inflammation in the palpebral conjunctiva, sclera, cornea, and anterior segment of the eyeball.

Medical uses of Fluca eye drops

  • Fluorometholone sodium cromoglycate eye drops are used to treat eye inflammation and irritation caused by allergies.

How to use Fluca eye drops

  • Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
  • Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
  • The recommended dosage is one or two drops in the affected eye(s) 2 to 4 times a day.
  • Doses may be changed under special circumstances, so always follow your doctor or pharmacist's instructions.
  • If you take more medicine than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital immediately.
  • If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for your next dose.
  • Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for a missed dose.

Side effects of Fluca eye drops

  • Although the following side effects are not common to everyone, some patients may experience:
  1. mild stinging and/or burning
  2. High pressure in the eye (intraocular pressure)
  3. mild irritation
  4. redness.

Using Fluca eye drops during pregnancy and breastfeeding

  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
  • Your doctor will discuss the potential risks and benefits of using this medication during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Warnings and precautions while using Fluca eye drops

  1. Consult your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems.
  2. Contact lenses must be removed during the instillation process and can be reinserted 15 minutes after instillation.
  3. Stop inhalation therapy if you develop eosinophilic pneumonia.
  4. Do not contaminate the dropper tip.
  5. Do not drive after using this medicine due to temporary blurred vision.
  6. Do not touch the tip of the eye drop bottle.
  7. For topical ophthalmic use only

How to store Fluca eye drops

  • Store below 25°C.
  • Don't cool down
  • After opening, the drops are safe for use in the eyes for 28 days. After that, using the drops can cause serious eye damage as bacteria may have entered the eye.
  • Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
  • Must be stored in the original container to protect from moisture.
  • Do not use this medicine after the expiry date printed on the carton/blister/label. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
