Gastrozole Plus is a prescription medicine called a proton pump inhibitor (PPI).
Gastrozole Plus reduces the amount of acid in the stomach.
Gastrozole Plus is used for adults:
To treat ulcers in the first part of the small intestine (duodenal ulcer) for 4 weeks. Your doctor may prescribe another 4 weeks of Gastrozole Plus.
For the treatment of stomach ulcers for up to 8 weeks.
For the treatment of heartburn and other symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GORD) for up to 4 weeks. GORD occurs when acid from the stomach flows back up into the esophagus (the tube that connects the mouth to the stomach). This may cause a burning sensation in your chest or throat, a sour taste, or belching.
To heal damage caused by acid to the lining of the esophagus (called erosive esophagitis or EE) for up to 8 weeks.
To maintain healing of the esophagus. It is not known if Gastrozole Plus is safe and effective when used for longer than 12 months (1 year).
Directions for use:
Take Gastrozole Plus on an empty stomach at least one hour before a meal.
Swallow Gastrozole Plus capsules whole with water. Do not use other liquids. Do not crush or chew the capsule. Do not open the capsule and sprinkle the contents on food.

Contraindications for the use of Gastrozole Plus
If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to omeprazole or any of the other ingredients of Gastrozole Plus.
If you are allergic to any proton pump inhibitor.

Precautions when taking Gastrozole Plus
If you have been told you have low levels of magnesium, calcium, or potassium in your blood.
If you have liver problems.
If you have heart failure.
If you have Bartter syndrome (a rare kidney disorder).
If you have any type of allergy.
If you suffer from any other medical condition.
If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. It is not known whether Gastrozole Plus can harm an unborn baby.
If you are breastfeeding or planning to breastfeed. Gastrozole Plus can pass into breast milk and harm your baby. You and your doctor should decide whether to take Gastrozole Plus or breastfeed. You should not take both at the same time.
Talk to your doctor about the best way to feed your baby if you are taking Gastrozole Plus.
